If the conditions of the machine tool equipment permit, the circumference of the sand belt is appropriately increased, so that the sand belt can get better cooling and increase the total number of abrasive particles involved in grinding.

4) Appropriately increase the speed of the belt.

Properly increasing the speed of the belt can not only reduce the surface roughness, but also reduce the crushing wear of the abrasive particles and prolong the life.

5) Gradually increase the grinding pressure.

After the sand belt enters the normal cutting stage, gradually increasing the grinding pressure of the sand belt can strengthen the grinding process, increase the grinding grain cutting edge ratio pressing, make the grinding grain broken, produce a new cutting edge recovery cutting ability, that is, self-sharpening action, so as to extend the service life of the sand belt.

6) Improve the cutting performance of the sanding belt itself.

The abrasive with good toughness has strong crushing resistance, which can extend the service life. The cutting performance of the belt of classical plant sand is better than that of gravity plant sand. Reducing the thickness of the binder and the density of the binder in the sand can increase the space of the sand belt, improve the strength of the binder, and make the bonding more reliable. These measures can improve the grinding performance and prolong the service life of the sand belt to a certain extent.

The above measures are mainly aimed at reducing the main form of abrasive sanding  belt wear (abrasion and crushing). For the two forms of adhesive cap and detachment, it can be solved by controlling and selecting the structural parameters of the abrasive belt such as the hardness of the tissue and the density of the planting sand.
