Finally, we completed the full testing reports and sent them to the customer.

After receiving the reports, the customer continued asking many technical questions regarding product performance, grit consistency, manufacturing processes, and application details. We answered every question carefully and professionally.

A 3-Ton Trial Order Before Chinese New Year

Before the Spring Festival holiday, the customer officially placed a 3-ton trial order.

In international business, especially in the abrasives industry, placing a trial order already shows strong sincerity and trust.

The customer not only needed to pay for the goods, but also had to bear international freight costs, customs clearance, and testing risks.

So every trial order is actually a serious evaluation of the supplier.

Before shipment, I specifically instructed our factory to retain samples from the exact batch supplied to the customer.

Because I knew the customer might require additional testing or future verification.

As expected, shortly after receiving the goods, the customer requested new testing reports for the shipped samples from P36 to P220.

Fortunately, because we had already retained samples in advance, we quickly completed the re-testing and immediately provided updated reports.

From a 3-Ton Trial Order to Six Containers

Only a few days after receiving the updated reports, the customer informed us that our brown aluminum oxide products had successfully passed all their tests.

Soon afterward, they prepared an order for six containers.

However, by that time, the international market situation had changed significantly:

Energy shortages pushed raw material prices higher

Production costs increased rapidly

Exchange rates fluctuated heavily

Export costs continued rising

Under those conditions, the original quotation had already become very difficult to maintain.

But we also understood that long-term cooperation is more important than short-term profit.

So we honestly informed the customer:

To ensure smooth cooperation, we would still maintain the original agreed price for the first official order, but future prices would need to be adjusted according to market conditions.

The customer appreciated our honesty and professionalism and fully understood the market situation.

Shortly afterward, they officially sent us the first order and quickly arranged full payment.
